(Please see FB for full tribute): My friend Jeff is gone and it makes me so sad. Ever since I have heard the news, there have been many memories of times we shared jointly bouncing through my mind. Most have made me cry, although some have caused me to laugh. … I remember when he came outside to the Stagestop to jam and set his stamp of approval with this group that I was considering joining called Greensky Bluegrass. Thanks buddy! I remember he would get about it and how damn great of a cook that he was. He would produce his fried chicken when Burle and I would come over and it was some of the finest in the world. Thank you! I remember how proud he would be if I would see him after Greensky started to blow off … but also the pecking appearance that he would give me the one phrase that he would fall me towards the conclusion of our discussions. He would never say “it”, however he didn&rsquo. Just because you’re on top now, doesn’t mean you’ll be tomorrow. Love it, don’t f*** it up, don’forget how quickly things can change. Thanks friend! … I remember the energy that Jeff placed into every performance I ever saw him sacrifice. I remember using a moment quite a while ago where I was watching him yell in the NWSS… I thought that when I could just come up with a way to put that power and that intensity that he produces while singing to the way I play the dobro, then I might be particular or unique, also. Thank you showman! I remember that even though we were brothers and all friends, our discussions were always. He never let me totally in, although I could peak behind his mask at times. Considering it, it reminds me of myself. It reminds me about a great deal of the musicians I spend time with at gigs or festivals all around the country. Let’s look after one another and try and dig deeper. Let & rsquo; s not forget that we’re sisters and brothers in arms but once a month or annually, although we might not find each other. Thank you Jeff! I miss you and I like you and wish you were with us. Please give if you can and include this website in your tributes: https://sweetrelief.org/jeff-austin-fun
