Will Sparks Apologizes for Ultra Australia Misconduct

Will Sparks has responded to allegations of physical intimidation and verbal abuse.

An incident involving Melbourne bounce trailblazer Will Sparks has been brought to light yesterday, he’s responded. After an assistant tour manager tasked with cleaning out his trailer at one of the Ultra Australia events intimidating and accused him of abusing her, the DJ/producer has apologized for his behaviour.

The anonymous assistant tour manager told Your EDM that Sparks had tried to re-enter his trailer after she’d knocking him out. She alleged that he and a few girls intentionally stood in one of the doors to stop her from closing down, and when asked to step aside he called her”cunt” and a”bitch.” He continued calling her names and punched it shut, when she tried to shut the second doorway.

Soon afterwards, another tour manager came with an account from two years ago of Sparks pushing her into a wall for asking him not to walk onstage during her artist’s performance.

In response to the allegations, Sparks sent Your EDM the apology:

“I cannot express how apologetic and regretful I am regarding the incident that unfolded in Sydney on Feb 24. I was competitive and said some remarks that were not correct and made no sense. Was I ever physical with some of the employees that is female or male. This is is completely out of character for me. Never in my life have I responded in this way, I am very embarrassed by my actions.Unfortunately that was alcohol fuelled, which is no explanation. I had some built up personal frustrations which all came out at once, in an innocent person who was doing their job. This is a large learning curve for me. I humiliated not just myself, but my entire team as well which I despise myself for.I’m taking full responsibility for my actions and am prepared to do what is necessary to mend the situation as best I can.I have also issued my apology to the person affected. ”

Sparks’ big break arrived in the form of his 2013 Joel Fletcher collaboration, “Bring It Back.” To date, he has released music on such labels as Spinnin’ Records, Armada Music and Ministry of Sound Australia.

It remains to be seen whether Will Sparks will be removed from any event lineups of record labels following the Ultra Australia event.
