Andy King Of Netflix’s FYRE Documentary Actually Didn’t Want His Story In The Final Cut
In the days following the release of Netflix’s FYRE documentary, just 1 scene was on everyone’s thoughts: Andy King’s ridiculous dick sucking story. The tale of founder Billy McFarland requested King to suck on dick so as to release water from customs to the island produced its rounds and turned into a meme that was fast.
Through an interview with Netflix, independent from and after the release of the documentary, King admitted he didn’t know what a meme was, nor that he had been trending. “When somebody achieved past weekend and said, ‘you’re shout ’, [I was] like, ‘I don’t know what trending way,’” he said. “People are talking about you… and yesterday people were like, ‘you’re a ME ME’, I’m & like ‘What’s a ME ME? ’”
Now, after a bevy of TV provides and focus, King came to TMZ he didn’t want the scene in the cut in the first location.
“I went to them and stated, ‘ListenI just talked with my attorneys and some of my creative team and they said, ‘Andy, you got to pull that thing. This can’t go into this documentary,’” King told TMZ.
“And when I sat with the manager, he stated, ‘Andy, you don’t know: Without that scene, there isn’t a documentary. ’ I said, ‘Oh come on, there’s no manner. ’ They stated, ‘Trust me. ’ And that’s an integral component, as you probably know, of the documentary itself. ’”
Since the documentary came out, and eventually became one of Netflix’s documentaries of all time, King was offered numerous TV bargains, as well as chances.
“I probably wouldn’t be where I am today if it had been taken out. I mean I’ve become this networking hero above circumstances like that, I’m shock,” he said.
