Bethel Woods & Live Nation Join Forces For Woodstock 50 Celebration
Bethel Woods Center For The Arts will team with Live Nation and also INVNT to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival at the website where the event was held. Even the “pan-generational music, culture and community occasion ” will occur on the grounds of Bethel Woods at Bethel, New York August 16 – 18.
The event will feature live performances “from prominent and emerging musicians spanning several genres and decades, also TED-style talks from leading futurists and retro-tech pros. ” Look for the lineup to be shown in the coming months. Festival goers may also check out the Museum at Bethel Woods, including a particular 2019 display We Are Golden: Reflections On The 50th Anniversary Of The Woodstock Festival And Aspirations For An Aquarian Future.

While Bethel’s event will occur on the grounds where the original Woodstock was held, it will not be created by Michael Lang or the other producers of the 1969 festival. Lang recently announced information of his own celebration of Woodstock’s 50th anniversary are all arriving shortly. Jimi Hendrix, The Band, Grateful Dead, Crosby Stills Nash & Young and Richie Havens are one of those who performed at the original event, which was held August 15 – 18.
