Duskus Outdoes Himself with Final Single of 2018, “Where To Go”

After releasing a lot of songs, Duskus closes out the year with a bang.

This season has been a particularly good year for 21 year-old Simon White, known as one of bitbird stars, Duskus. Back in May he released his debut EP, cute, featuring three excellent tracks – one of those being the favorite San Holo cooperation,”Take Me Home.” Since then the album has amassed over two million streams, but the achievement of his EP is not the only thing that’s created 2018 good for the young DJ.

White has garnered attention for his single and cooperation releases also. His first single of this year,”Easy,” saw him operate with bass DJ graves. Presently one of both musicians’ most popular songs, the track is the perfect combination of graves’ bass audio with White&rsquo.

In September, San Holo released his own introduction record , album1, and it came to no surprise that White popped up on the monitor record. Their second collaboration collectively,”forever free,” is one of the record’s most popular tracks and, even after hearing”Take Me Home,” it comes as little surprise.”

Not too long after that, White introduced his single,”Longtime,” in which he experimentated with using his own vocals. Showcasing his skill at causing feelings,” he told us at an interview it’therefore that the”second more’housey’ track” he has discharged and it”reflects the future sound.”

As promised, his latest and also this season’s last release,”Where To Go,” is a testament to that. The track has that exact same home vibe as”Longtime” using its simple palette of sounds and choppy vocals, but it is also something completely different -and in a good way.

With its blend of infectious groovy drops dotted between captivating and stunning lulls,”Where To Go” keeps everything that makes up Duskus while still being minimal.  Inspired to challenge , White explains,”Most of the music I make is normally very full on; I wanted to see If I could make something different but still keep it Duskus. I think this worked.”

Much like the end of every year, we inquire some thing similar to”where to go.” For White, it is continuing to move upwards in his profession and, most recently, embarking on his first excursion ever as an opener for San Holo’s album1 North American tour
