Next up will be Keystone and Breckenridge on Nov. 9, together with Winter Park, Copper Mountain, Vail and Purgatory scheduled to open the next week. Some of those hotels could open even sooner if snowfall in the days that are coming is plentiful.

Labor Day ski sales have come and gonebut there are tons of ways for snowboarders and skiers to spend less on clothing and gear, particularly if you have small ones.

Ski swaps are one route, and some are scheduled next week. But in case you miss the swaps, rsquo & we;ve pulled together a listing of gear stores, daily clothing rental alternatives and season gear rentals for your kids around the Front Range.

Sales of used equipment

Play It Again Sam: This chain having eight Front Range places provides a vast array of used skis and boots for sale. Christy Sports: The Christy Kids app is a fantastic deal that equipment rentals for your season with season moves at five Front Range ski areas.
