Pet parents may allow their furry kids splash around this weekend. Water World is hosting its next yearly Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day on Sept. 8 in 11 a.m. to 2 litres, rain or shine. Cowabunga Beach, Turtle Bay and Thunder Bay will soon be open for dogs to swim, splash and play. (Wally World will also be available, particularly to pups under 25 lbs.) Proof of current rabies vaccination and waivers must be signed prior to entry. Owners will be wagging their “tails,” also, because entry is just $9.99 a puppy, with humans getting in for free. (If you were a 2018 Splash Pass holder, the cost is only $4.99 a pooch.) Be aware: Attractions aren’t open and owners aren’t permitted to float . Belmar (408 S. Teller St.) at Lakewood becomes Little Italy for the weekend. On Sept. 8 and 9, the shopping center hosts its 15th annual Festival Italiano beginning at 10 a.m. equally days. Known to attract more than 100,000 individuals, the festival celebrates Italian culture with wine food and artisan sellers. Kids can acquire purple feet at the grape ; households may enjoy performances by invasion throwers (flown in from Florence, Italy); and everyone can throw a ball at the two-day open bocce tournament. Night at the museum

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science hosts among its Free Days (much more fitting, Free Nights) on Sept. 12 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free for all. The family-friendly evening features Saturdays series, a scavenger hunt and face painting. In addition, their heads can be tested by kids of all ages from themMuseum’s exhibition, Mindbender Mansion — a place filled with interactive challenges, brainteasers and puzzles. (There is a fee for the VR Arcade, IMAX and planetarium.) Food and beverages (including alcohol) will soon be readily available for purchase, also.
