Boys Noize blasts back with cover of Adamski’s acid house classic, ‘Killer’ [Watch]
Boys Noize comes back with more industrial mischief, now on a cover of Adamski’s 80’s acid classic “Killer,” arriving on his Boysnoize Records. For the rework, the manufacturer taps Miami-based singer Steven A. Clark for vocal dutiesthat were superbly handled by Seal around the first. The outcome is a stomper of a course, with Clark’s vocals draining attitude and swagger the entire the method through. The song’s rebooted introduction comes in the form of a psychedelic music movie that beckons back to smokey New York club nights of decades past.
Boys Noize is on record saying the cover is that track in general, and really a love letter of sorts to this era. This version includes the Mayday performer ’s fingerprints all over it, although the texture is still geared towards tributing the cut all the way. Boys Noize explained the backstory for its cover’s its development through media’s roots, and personal significance,
“Being 90’so child, I kind of grew up with this song which later became among those tunes I’d play out in the close of the evening. As soon as I met Steven and noticed his own voice I immediately thought of that trail along with the idea of doing a cover version had been first born. It was initially just for fun, but it turned banging and lit the dancefloors wherever I’d shed it — so here I am sharing my own industrial ‘KILLER.’ ”
